Yes, MyFitnessPal will serve as a glorified calorie counter, but it can also provide you with your daily nutrition facts. For example, I could tell right away from logging in my daily food consumption that I needed to incorporate more iron into my diet. This mobile app also allows you to incorporate your workout routine and weight loss goals (if you have one). At the end of the day, it will let you know if you are on track or not.
MapMyRun –I tend to run without a clear path in mind, meandering around my neighborhood without quite knowing how far I’ve gone. MapMyRun to the rescue! This mobile app not only tracks your course and mileage, it also tells you your average pace, time and calorie count. If you care to share your progress with friends, you have the option to upload your run onto Facebook or Twitter.
